At the last department within our logistic process, we meet Clim Linssen. Clim has been working at PVH for over eight years and has seen many facets of our company. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking and going to the movies. He is also part of the Venlona men's choir in Venlo. So, in his free time he has plenty to do, but what does he think of working at PVH?

You've been working at PVH for about eight years now, what have you been up to in those years?
"I started at PVH in Tegelen, in the children's department through an employment agency. I was mainly involved in packing, strapping and loading. A year and a half after I started at PVH, the work via the employment agency stopped and I was forced to do other work. I liked it so much at the time that I immediately said: if another job becomes available at PVH, I'll stop with my new job and go back. A few months later that was the case and I started again.

In 2017, I got my permanent contract within PVH. I have worked in different departments over the past years, now you can find me in the outbound department. Here we deal with prepping orders. We make sure that everything gets to the right place. When the order is ready, it goes in the truck to the customer."

So then you've seen almost the entire company, what do you like about the outbound department?
"I started out at packing myself, the beginning of the process. From there I developed myself and now I'm in the last step of the process. What I also like about the outbound department is that there is quite a lot of responsibility involved in our work. We make sure that everything leaves the building. So it's important to be on top of things and work accurately."

What does a workday look like for you?
"Unlike the other departments within PVH, we don't work with a tight schedule here. As an employee, you know the work you must do. In the morning our department has labels ready for orders that need to be labeled on the pallets. That's where you start. In the meantime, we will receive freight bills and we start loading trucks. And in between? I always find something to do myself and if I have nothing to do I go to my supervisor. He will then send me to someone who could use some help. That keeps you busy all day long."

What do you like most about working at PVH?
"The work is not all the same and the people are not all the same. It's a bit of a mix of everything and anything, which only enhances the atmosphere. You have nice Dutch colleagues, but you also make a lot of contacts with people of other nationalities.

I've actually always been interested in logistics. After all, you live in a logistics hotspot. I also like the clothes. I like to look neat and that works well here. Originally, I was a cook, something completely different, but this is also really nice. I wouldn't have expected that beforehand, but I would recommend it to anyone to come and work here."

So what do you think of PVH as an employer?
"Very nice. I feel really appreciated as an employee. Every year we have a party in the summer and a Christmas party in the winter. That's really nice, then you meet colleagues you once worked with but you don't see anymore on a daily basis. I also have a colleague with whom I often go to the movies. Have a nice meal together. You build up a friendship and that can only happen in an open atmosphere."

The organization really listens to you and makes sure you perform work that suits you. If you indicate that a certain job doesn't suit you or that you find a certain assignment a bit more difficult, that's no problem at all.

I know exactly what I can get out of PVH, and that works the other way around as well. What I also like is that we really look at whether the work suits a person.
